Getting Started
Learn the basics of Text2List and how to create your first listing.
What is Text2List?
Text2List turns photos of trading cards into complete eBay listings in about 30 seconds. No typing. No hunting for comps. No guessing prices.
Take a photo. Upload it (or text it to us). We analyze the card, pull real eBay sold data, and build a listing ready to publish.
What does T2L analyze?
When you upload a photo, our AI looks for:
- Card name, set, and edition (Pokémon Base Set Charizard? We find it.)
- Card condition (any visible wear, creasing, corner damage)
- Graded slabs (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC — we detect the grade and cert number)
- Set details — holographic, misprint, language, anything that affects value
Once we identify the card, we pull 3-tier pricing from real eBay sold listings from the last 90 days.
How to scan your first card
- Take a clear, well-lit photo — see tips below
- Upload to text2list.app (web) or text your photo to us (SMS for Dealer Pro + up)
- Review what we found — check the card name, condition, and pricing
- Edit if needed — if we missed something, fix it in the draft
- Connect eBay and publish — one click to list
How to get the best photo
- Lighting matters — natural daylight is best. Avoid harsh shadows or glare.
- Card fills the frame — we need to see the full front (and back if graded). Leave a little border, but not too much.
- Lay it flat — no angles. Straight-on, flat surface.
- For graded cards — tilt slightly to show the grade label clearly. We need to see the cert number.
- Multiple angles are OK — upload 1-12 photos. We'll use the clearest one and might cross-check details.
One photo isn't enough?
If you're not sure about condition, upload 2-3 photos from different angles. The more we see, the more confident we are.
